The Church of today

The phrase “Children are the church of tomorrow” is deeply misleading. They are not. They are as much the church of today as everyone else and their presence is greatly valued and encouraged here at St Mary’s.

There is a family service suitable for children at 11.45am every Sunday  (apart from August) Local schools often use the church as do local uniformed groups who parade regularly. As a parish, we support the admission of children to Holy Communion before confirmation, subject to a suitable period of instruction and with the agreement of the Vicar.
