Bastille Day – Les Miserables

“To love another person is to see the face of God”
I think it would be quite good fun to do something a little radical; ergo on Tuesday 14th July, Bastille Day we will be holding a “Les Misérables” themed Sung Eucharist in church at 7.00pm. There are rich themes in the musical which I hope we can touch upon; forgiveness, redemption and new beginnings. The scene where the Bishop forgives the theft of his two silver candlesticks is especially poignant. To be clear this is very much an act of worship and not a concert or jolly. I think we could be in for, all things being equal, a rich and inspiring and moving evening. I do hope you can join us, appropriate Bastille Day refreshments will be served after the service. Please do feel very free to invite a neighbour or friend. Fr Andrew
