Good Friday – Veneration of the Cross

Join us this Good Friday at 2:00 PM for our solemn Veneration of the Cross service as we remember the saving passion and death of Jesus Christ.
On Good Friday, Christians around the world pause to reflect on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. The Veneration of the Cross is a reverent and moving part of the Good Friday liturgy, where we are invited to come forward, kneel or bow before the cross, and offer a gesture of gratitude and devotion. This act is not worship of the wood itself, but a heartfelt acknowledgment of the love and mercy poured out for us through Christ’s sacrifice.
Through Scripture readings, prayer, quiet reflection, and the opportunity to venerate the cross, we enter into the depth of this holy day with humility and hope. All are welcome—whether you are a longtime member or simply seeking a place to reflect on the meaning of Good Friday.
Come and draw near to the cross.
